Scenes from the Inauguration of the Yamaha Grand Piano
Wednesday, November 9, 2016

Phyllis and Saul Lowitt were honored in Geldbart Auditorium on November 9 for their generous gift of a Yamaha grand piano to the Selby Public Library. Presented by the Selby Library, the Friends of Selby Library, and the Sarasota Music Archive, the event included a performance by soprano Hein Jung, and pianist Grigorios Zamparas followed by a reception with pianist Bob Constantino at the keyboard. The Lowitts’ gift represents a major contribution to the cultural life of the community and enables the library to continue providing a venue for high quality performances.
